You need to add the user account to the local admin group or use an account which has admin access to edit the registry.
- Open Regedit (e.g. click Start -> run -> type regedit and press Enter) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers --> under this key, there will be a key Version-3 the sub-keys under these contain the printer driver configuration information.
- Delete the XEROX printer driver sub-key inside Version-3
- open a Command Prompt window
- Type the command net stop spooler
- open Windows Explorer
navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\printers\ and delete any files there. By default, this is where the print spooler stores print files and navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 and delete all of the files and sub-folders as well.
Start the print spooler : net start spooler
Re-Add the printer and test.
